The use of biometric technology significantly increases security level of systems because it eliminates such problems as lost, stolen or loaned ID cards, and forgotten or guessed PINs. These systems also allow for complex entry systems to be constructed with zoned security clearance on fobs all monitored by computer.
Access control locks, there are many types of Electronic Lock. The most basic is a magnetic lock (commonly called a mag lock). A large electro-magnet is mounted on the door frame and a corresponding armature is mounted on the door. Mag locks are simple to install and are very attack resistant.
